About Paula Heister
Paula Heister is originally from Germany, but has lived in the UK for many years.
She is a doctor and scientist. When she realised that half her lab-books were full of drawings and stories, she decided she ought to do something about it. She is currently studying for an MA in Children's Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art (Anglia Ruskin University).
She loves textures and print, and combining these with ink and watercolour in digital collages. Her favourite thing is to create environments with a strong sense of place and atmosphere. Story ideas often seem to walk into her head when she least expects it, and then bounce around her brain until she has time to develop them on the page.
